For Sale
*I am breeding my cavies to develop my own lines. I may occasionally have babies for sale to good homes only.
*Please note, that people on my waiting list will be given first-refusal for any babies that meet their requests. I will require a 50%, non-refundable deposit to be paid in order to reserve a baby.
*I do not make any profit from the sale of my babies. All of the proceeds go straight back into food and bedding for my remaining cavies.
*I will not sell to anyone under 18, unless a responsible adult accompanies them and will take full responsibility for all aspects of their care.
*Babies will not leave me until 6-8 weeks old, depending upon their progress.
*All of my babies will go to their new home with a small bag of food we feed our cavies on Burgess Guinea Excel, Readi-Grass, Hay and fresh fruit and veg. I will also provide a birth certificate or pedigree certificate with all of my babies, depending upon the breed details that I hold and a care sheet if required.
*I will sell to first-time owners, providing they are willing to accept advice and guidance in the care of their new cavy. I prefer my babies to live with other cavies of the same sex and will not be sold to be companions for rabbits, as both have very different nutritional needs and rabbits have been known to bully cavies.
*Please be aware that cavies can live to be 8 years of age. This is a big commitment, so please think carefully before asking for one of my babies. They will need daily attention and grooming to keep then healthy and happy.
*The Purchaser(s) further warrants that the cavy will be kept in appropriate conditions for its health and welfare and will be fed a suitable diet for its age and condition.
* Will receive all necessary veterinary care to maintain its good health.
* If at anytime you are unable to continue to look after one of my cavies I would expect first refusal to have the cavy back or assist in its rehoming.
*Please ensure you bring a suitable carrier in which to transport your cavy to their new home.
